Active Pass
Active Pass is a narrow ocean passage located between Mayne Island and Galiano Island in BC's, Southern Gulf Islands. The pass is frequented by BC Ferry vessels running between BC's Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island. It was named for the Active, a United States survey vessel and the first steamer to navigate the pass in 1855.
